It’s finally (basically) summer! There’s so much to do in Chicago this June. Festivals are starting up and performances are breaking outside.
I’m totally pumped for farmers’ markets to start again and to watch shows from a blanket on the grass, ahhhh! Check out some of my recommendations for this June. There’s plenty to keep you busy.
June 2-12- Pivot Arts Festival-Edgewater and Uptown
June 3-18-The Cure-Walkabout Theater-Chicago Cultural Center
June 4-Chicago Rhythm Fest-Auditorium Theatre
June 4- Arts Circle Celebration– Northwestern University
-This is a full day of exciting performances at Northwestern of all mediums. Check out the line up and you’re sure to find something up your alley.
June 9-19-The Art of Falling– Hubbard St. Dance with Second City- Harris Theater
June 9-July 17- Northanger Abbey– Lifeline Theatre
June 15-August-Grant Park Music Festival
June 21-Make Music Day Chicago
-This is a special day on the summer solstice in which music will be happening all over the city. Go see some pop up performances or make some music yourself!
It’s an exciting month ahead! Get out and enjoy it. The vibrancy of the arts truly comes alive in Chicago in the summer months.
